Georgi Velinov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Damasco in the 3rd minute of the match. FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save FC CSKA from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute of the match Deportivo Damasco F.C. got a corner. FC CSKA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 19th match minute, FC CSKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Damasco F.C. made a substitution. Roman Corte replaced Aldo Damasco. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roman Corte to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Vladimir Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Georgi Dimitrov got free with Avram Popoiu in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Couto in the 65th minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Deportivo Damasco F.C. got a corner. FC CSKA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tiadoro Cores ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Tiadoro Cores to fire away a dangerous shot which Georgi Velinov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Georgi Velinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimir Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 79 minutes of play, Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Vladimir Couto made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Georgi Velinov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ruslan Dzhalev kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Corte came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
