Edgardo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 7thth minute of the game Edgardo Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juventus F.C.'s Eugenio Lorenzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner ended in Glen Conklin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Juventus F.C.'s Eugenio Lorenzi did a great save. In the 11thth minute of the game Edgardo Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juventus F.C.'s Eugenio Lorenzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corder Nunn in the 12th minute of play. Eugenio Lorenzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Silva in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Claudio Caniggia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Corder Nunn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Juventus F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 27th minute, Corder Nunn made a precise shot to the right of Jeremy Nicholas. New England Minas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Anselmo De Toni kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Edgardo Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugenio Lorenzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corder Nunn in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremy Nicholas saved New England Minas from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Pacheco in the 34th minute of play forced Juventus F.C.'s goalkeeper Eugenio Lorenzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, New England Minas's Eugenio Lorenzi threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edgardo Silva, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half Juventus F.C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Corder Nunn made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Corder Nunn came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugenio Lorenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Nordmark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Juventus F.C. booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugenio Lorenzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Pacheco in the 71st minute of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Tony Pacheco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juventus F.C.'s Eugenio Lorenzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Caniggia came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Tony Pacheco made a precise shot to the right of Eugenio Lorenzi. Juventus F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Juventus F.C.'s Bernardo Benarrivo was substituted for Carlo Montanari. New England Minas's Zachery Church was substituted for Roman Major. In the 82nd minute, Bernardo Benarrivo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Alessio Punta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jeremy Nicholas, 2-3. Arturo Sito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute Arturo Sito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Lorenzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessio Punta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jeremy Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The New England Minas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Juventus F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Juventus F.C..
