Nils-Erik Jonsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Trancoso went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hubert Valler, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Vykans Vikingar's Leonardo Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nils-Erik Jonsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 15th minute of the match, Hubert Valler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcus Ekrot saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Börje Stål made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Med Gang FC's Henrik Berg. 19 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hubert Valler. Marcus Ekrot made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Hubert Valler sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hubert Valler in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Ekrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nils-Erik Jonsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Mutumba in the 23rd minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vykans Vikingar! 30 minutes into the match, Med Gang FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Berart came free, but Nils-Erik Jonsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hubert Valler in the 33rd minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils-Erik Jonsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Trancoso in the 35th minute of play. Marcus Ekrot made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Hubert Valler sent off a good shot on target. Hubert Valler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. The supporters of Med Gang FC booed when Vykans Vikingar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Brolin didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Henrik Berg led 44 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Trancoso to make the kick off. Med Gang FC's Nils-Erik Jonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Souza in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 53rd minute of play forced Med Gang FC's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Jonsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils-Erik Jonsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernan Berart in the 57th minute. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Valler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Med Gang FC made a substitution. Vykans Vikingar's Bengt-Arne Haglund got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Med Gang FC's Nils-Erik Jonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 94th minute of play. Many of Vykans Vikingar's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Vykans Vikingar may have spent more time on the ball, but Med Gang FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
