Alvaro Raymond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute of the game Kees Harmsen made a throw-in which Dinu Ivănescu played forward. If Gabriele Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernando Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriele Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriele Batistuta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Selatse having to make a save. 38 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Raymond in the 41st minute of play. Gabriele Batistuta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Selatse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriele Batistuta to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabriele Batistuta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Selatse having to make a save. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Dinu Ivănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Salvidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes Despidida AFC got a freekick which was hit by Feliksas Fenichev. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Arturo Arano replaced Kajetan Gdowik. Robert Percha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Camilo Salvidor skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 63 minutes into the match, Robert Percha notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor. Camilo Salvidor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Silverio Sergi hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Silverio Sergi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Firmo in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Selatse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Firmo in the 73rd minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 75th minute of play. Fernando Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 84th minute, Despidida AFC's Robert Percha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 86th minute, Gaston Firmo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Selatse was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Fernando Selatse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaston Firmo went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Menchu FC had won after a very even match.
