Port Edinburgh AFC's Tony McHarold proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Port Edinburgh AFC from getting a goal against them. Ruben Sánchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Morar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Nahas in the 20th minute of play forced La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Nicolás Valentini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony McHarold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Nicolás Valentini reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tony McHarold. The goal made the score 1-0. Tony McHarold was a little too slow when Nicolás Valentini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. After some careless play in the Port Edinburgh AFC defense, Nicolás Valentini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony McHarold. The Port Edinburgh AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony McHarold should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the game, La Candela FC's Rubén-Darío Feldmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony McHarold made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When La Candela FC's Rubén-Darío Feldmann in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Port Edinburgh AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Sebastián Battaglia kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rubén-Darío Feldmann made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Port Edinburgh AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolás Valentini came free, but Tony McHarold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony McHarold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubén-Darío Feldmann in the 63rd minute of the match. Rubén-Darío Feldmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Candela FC made a substitution. Claudio Marangoni replaced Orlando Medina. Claudio Marangoni hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Tony McHarold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubén-Darío Feldmann in the 83rd minute of play. Gabi Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony McHarold. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabi Batistuta ran back to his position shaking his head. Gabi Batistuta scored 6-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony McHarold, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute, Darius Carlyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rubén-Darío Feldmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan McKerlich's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ruben Sánchez firmly grabbed it by the left post. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La Candela FC fully deserved thier win.
