Aðföng Dalvík's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Heilmóður Alexandersson in the 30th minute. The corner led Aðföng Dalvík's Rannver Ingiþórsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Rogério Ceni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Aðföng Dalvík's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Perez came free, but Mjölnir Vilhjálmsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wiliam Perez was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Aðföng Dalvík's Heilmóður Alexandersson got a free kick in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Aðföng Dalvík's zone, Wiliam Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mjölnir Vilhjálmsson came out of the goal and Wiliam Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56thth minute of the game Wiliam Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aðföng Dalvík's Mjölnir Vilhjálmsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wiliam Perez took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mjölnir Vilhjálmsson. Mjölnir Vilhjálmsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Mjölnir Vilhjálmsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 87 minutes of play, Diamante Negro DK - VV's Villarreal Ubach made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mjölnir Vilhjálmsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Villarreal Ubach might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mjölnir Vilhjálmsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Villarreal Ubach ran back to his position shaking his head. Aðföng Dalvík's Mjölnir Vilhjálmsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Villarreal Ubach in the 91st minute of play. Júlio Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mjölnir Vilhjálmsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamante Negro DK - VV walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
