Roman Tebaldo charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roman Tebaldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giannis Chatziioannou to strike the kick off in the second half. Bernardino Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Chatziioannou in the 51st minute of play. After 57 played minutes Sconvols United got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Alexe. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Giannis Chatziioannou sped through Atlético Rio Cuarto's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bernardino Dimas. After a rather tough play, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Paulo Ferrari got a free kick in the 65th minute. Giannis Chatziioannou struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Bernardino Dimas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sconvols United. Sconvols United's Giannis Chatziioannou got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giannis Chatziioannou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardino Dimas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. With 86 minutes on the clock, Olivier Bigler commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Humberto Francesco was substituted for Gustav Högström. Olivier Bigler hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match.
