Octav Alexa was a little too slow when Felipe Abendano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 36th minute, Håkan Rudkvist fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Octav Alexa, passed just outside the right post. 39 minutes into the match, Vandalino's goal looked a bit too open when Cooper Schurter came free, but Octav Alexa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Attilio Sanna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Giorgio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cooper Schurter was the one to do the kick off. Octav Alexa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.
