When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Nickolai Nickerson sped through Grandi Lupi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfonz Kállai. Eric Soned was a little too slow when Mazuste Flores got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 19th minute Louis-Philippe Damman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Soned saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Eric Soned played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazuste Flores in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charly Alberti. After 33 minutes of play, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Nickolai Nickerson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonz Kállai was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nickolai Nickerson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute Nickolai Nickerson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonz Kállai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Nickolai Nickerson made the kick off in the second half. Alfonz Kállai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nickolai Nickerson, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Ancelotti in the 83rd minute of play forced Grandi Lupi's goalkeeper Alfonz Kállai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Grandi Lupi's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Ancelotti came free, but Alfonz Kállai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlo Ancelotti in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfonz Kállai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Árpád Láng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Eric Soned tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Árpád Láng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Soned having to interfere. After 95 minutes, Frank Krasniqi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grandi Lupi and the Étoile Sportive Du Sahel players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Frank Krasniqi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimir Capixaba was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

The Étoile Sportive Du Sahel supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Étoile Sportive Du Sahel would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
