An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Tepedino in the 7th minute of play forced Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeremias Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Martxelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fidel Martxelin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jeremias Moreno came out and tried to block the shot, but Fidel Martxelin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Flóki Cabezudo came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Tepedino in the 24th minute of play forced Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Jeremias Moreno successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 36th minute Cesar Quinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Stellenbosch's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Quinto came free, but Pedro Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Pelayo came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by ADM Taquaras's Denílson Tepedino. But to his dismay, Denílson Tepedino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Stellenbosch players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ADM Taquaras were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flóki Cabezudo made a kick off. Pedro Pelayo came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by ADM Taquaras's Cesar Quinto. But to his dismay, Cesar Quinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Stellenbosch made a substitution. Osvaldo Bernat replaced Flóki Cabezudo. Denílson Tepedino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Pedro Pelayo made a huge save. Jeremias Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Lluis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ADM Taquaras made a substitution. Áron Bódog replaced Zaquiel Puredo. Pedro Pelayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Tepedino in the 71st minute of the match. Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Áron Bódog in the 84th minute of play. Jeremias Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Fernando Quinteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. ADM Taquaras's Leonard Åhman was substituted for Denílson Tepedino. In the 90th minute of the match, Nestor Soeiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Pelayo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Áron Bódog could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Pedro Pelayo made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Nestor Soeiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Pelayo. That made the score 2-6 in the 94 minute of play.

When the match was over ADM Taquaras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Stellenbosch throughout the match.
