After a rather tough play, Valencia CF Mindszent's Gáspár Rigó got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goal looked a bit too open when Fabien Canu came free, but Rene Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Fabien Canu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabien Canu to make the kick off. Basile Navarre charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basile Navarre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valencia CF Mindszent's attentive Gáspár Rigó managed to snatch the ball when Esteban Alvarado made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Lunar Park's Fabien Canu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rene Higuita. That made the score 1-4 after 60 minutes of play. Valencia CF Mindszent made a substitution. Adolfo Larrauri replaced Marcell Kiss. Cedric Van Langhendoncx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bob Sinclair went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bob Sinclair in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cedric Van Langhendoncx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabien Canu in the 77th minute of the match. Rene Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabien Canu in the 79th minute of play. Lunar Park were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Valencia CF Mindszent's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Taillade took the corner. Carlos Taillade made a great header on Lunar Park's corner, it was just that Valencia CF Mindszent's Rene Higuita managed to reach the ball for a save.
