When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Mansur Bilgen put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Flavio Nuno. Porongal's Siro Umbruso got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes in the game, Constantino Lorien dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Siro Umbruso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siro Umbruso struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Kurtuluş Yunus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porongal. Siro Umbruso's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kurtuluş Yunus firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 40th minute, Constantino Lorien fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Segundo Marques got free with Kurtuluş Yunus in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Sarayköy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Siro Umbruso fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantino Lorien to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Mümtazer Kasım hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sarayköy booed when Porongal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Lorien didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute Constantino Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurtuluş Yunus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Porongal's Siro Umbruso got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celedonio Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurtuluş Yunus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Lorien in the 77th minute of play. Constantino Lorien took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kurtuluş Yunus. Kurtuluş Yunus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ali Cengiz Yesar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Nuno having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mansur Bilgen in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Nuno saved Porongal from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Porongal's Rolando Gaztea got a free kick in the 87th minute. Siro Umbruso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mansur Bilgen got free with Flavio Nuno in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Porongal walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
