Genílson Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimar Reinauer in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Los Hermanos CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when José Pedro Cerezo came free, but Genílson Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthieu Richardot in the 28th minute of play forced Los Hermanos CIMZ's goalkeeper Genílson Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Hermanos CIMZ were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after DJK Füchtel Vechta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ernesto Bittencourt took the corner. But to his dismay, Barnabé Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barnabé Neto to make the kick off. Lucas Folden hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 1-2 came in the 58th minute when Rea Selbert all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Genílson Massa. Ernesto Bittencourt made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by DJK Füchtel Vechta's Rea Selbert. The audience was convinced that José Pedro Cerezo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genílson Massa was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Karhan Siralp kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adriano Tolin. That made the score 2-3 in the 95 minute of play. In the 97th match minute, Los Hermanos CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Almeida to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Los Hermanos CIMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
