When Wincent Zabrzeski fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC KaM Kutno's protests and gave Wincent Zabrzeski a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes AC KaM Kutno got a freekick which was hit by Wincent Zabrzeski. The audience was convinced that Nikos Valassiou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ryszard Chludzinski was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikos Valassiou got free with Ryszard Chludzinski in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ryszard Chludzinski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
