After 15 minutes Varennes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zhuo Bo Bo who took care of the corner kick. Todd Gronow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gilberto Boone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Todd Gronow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25thth minute of the game Maurice Odonnell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Todd Gronow managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Todd Gronow was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Gronow in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Foro in the 37th minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fabio Manuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Erwin Gay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Gronow in the 43rd minute of play. Maurice Odonnell kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Todd Gronow made a kick off. Gilberto Boone came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Todd Gronow. But to his dismay, Todd Gronow quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seth Luke in the 55th minute of play forced Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Gronow in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Boone saved Varennes from getting behind. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Varennes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zhuo Bo Bo was slow to take the kick. During this time Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's players had a chance to rest. Zhuo Bo Bo made a great header on Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's corner, it was just that Varennes's Gilberto Boone managed to reach the ball for a save. If Bernardo Goudreau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Todd Gronow left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Varennes's Titus Pineda was substituted for Bernardo Goudreau. Mariusz Ratulowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Boone having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Mariusz Ratulowski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilberto Boone, 0-4. After 84 minutes of play, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Mariusz Ratulowski made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilberto Boone was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th match minute, Varennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donovan Nash to maneuver through the defense. In the 91stth minute of the game Mariusz Ratulowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varennes's Gilberto Boone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Mariusz Ratulowski hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Mariusz Ratulowski came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
