In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cobresal's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaitano Valdovinos in the 22nd minute of play forced ..Villa Rugby Club..'s goalkeeper Kang Ying Hai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cobresal reached it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mikolaj Giertych made a kick off. After 54 minutes Cobresal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ramiro Lleir who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ramiro Lleir almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cobresal's Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea did a great save. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mikolaj Giertych's shot from short distance in the 58th minute.
