Kosin Marianto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilmar Quadros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kosin Marianto was the one to do the kick off. Barcelona de América's Félix Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilmar Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Burgo, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Christian Burgo scored 1-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilmar Quadros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barcelona de América made a substitution. Robin Puttemans replaced Thomas Ravousis. Barcelona de América's Ronaldinho Gentenaar was substituted for Perlaza Lena. Barcelona de América's Gilmar Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Burgo in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Christian Burgo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Gilmar Quadros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barcelona de América players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kwyjibo.
