Sabin Pânzaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save New England Minas from getting a goal against them. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Xiao Bang Kun hit a great ball. Sabin Pânzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Pacheco in the 40th minute of play. If Tio Lio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amanda Almqvist's late challenge caught a New England Minas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amanda Almqvist helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Aquile Azzurre's Amanda Almqvist got a free kick in the 44th minute. Sabin Pânzaru came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by New England Minas's Edgardo Silva. But to his dismay, Edgardo Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgardo Silva was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Silva got free with Sabin Pânzaru in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Aquile Azzurre's Adil Mahşer was substituted for Äliqulu Vermäliyev. Sabin Pânzaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tio Lio in the 60th minute. New England Minas's Zachery Church was substituted for Roman Major. New England Minas's Ye Gang Cheng was substituted for Lalo Rosas. New England Minas were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after FC Aquile Azzurre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bel Cross received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jeremy Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New England Minas's Arturo Sito was substituted for Tio Lio. Filippo Massa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremy Nicholas having to make a save.
