When Nguyễn Thanh fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huế's protests and gave Nguyễn Thanh a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Jaanek Oese ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lê Binh was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Édouard Deloge during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Édouard Deloge hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. A collision led to Huế getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Lê Thi hit a great ball. Lê Binh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaanek Oese, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Huế booed when BOTAFOGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaanek Oese didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Huế fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BOTAFOGO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
