The ĐΔŘҜŇ€ŞŞ fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when ĐΔŘҜŇ€ŞŞ's Ülo Tamberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 9 minutes of play, BOTAFOGO's Gavril Bucur made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ke Jian Yuan was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinei Sanches during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute of the match Nguyễn Duc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adalberto Breckenfeld showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, ĐΔŘҜŇ€ŞŞ's Nuralp Çelikyay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adalberto Breckenfeld narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jaanek Oese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ke Jian Yuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Édouard Deloge came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the BOTAFOGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Édouard Deloge couldn't finish the play. After the first half BOTAFOGO were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gavril Bucur to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes, Ülo Tamberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ĐΔŘҜŇ€ŞŞ and the BOTAFOGO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ülo Tamberg hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. After 53 played minutes ĐΔŘҜŇ€ŞŞ got a freekick which was hit by Gheorghe Codreanu. Ülo Tamberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Breckenfeld having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, BOTAFOGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Édouard Deloge to maneuver through the defense. Ke Jian Yuan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kauan Melo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 67 minute of play. The corner led BOTAFOGO's Nilmar Correia to fire away a dangerous shot which Ke Jian Yuan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
