Sabin Pânzaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uwe Birmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Manuel Campens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 14th minute of play. If Carlo Borgatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. Pagos FC's Maximilian Carlsson got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute Pagos FC were awarded a corner. Maximilian Carlsson went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Pagos FC's corner Uwe Birmes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sabin Pânzaru quite easily take care of the ball. In the 32nd minute Äliqulu Vermäliyev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Campens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, FC Aquile Azzurre's goal looked a bit too open when Uwe Birmes came free, but Sabin Pânzaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabin Pânzaru came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Pagos FC's Uwe Birmes. In the 48thth minute of the game Carlo Borgatello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pagos FC's Manuel Campens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuralp Akbal to strike the kick off in the second half.
