Blar McJames started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, U.P. Gavellese's Felix Ariando got a free kick in the 2nd minute. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alessio Volta sped through Shanlaragh AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Brennan Coyle. A collision led to U.P. Gavellese getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Vilhelm Rosin hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessio Volta in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brennan Coyle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, Alessio Volta notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Shanlaragh AFC's Brennan Coyle. Brennan Coyle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Shanlaragh AFC defense, Ricardo Kaká kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brennan Coyle. The Shanlaragh AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brennan Coyle should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Blar McJames put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Armando Del Monte. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sheridan Cronin during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brennan Coyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Macias in the 26th minute of the match. Brennan Coyle came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by U.P. Gavellese's Alessio Volta. But to his dismay, Alessio Volta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Volta in the 32nd minute of play forced Shanlaragh AFC's goalkeeper Brennan Coyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Blar McJames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Del Monte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessio Volta scored 1-6 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brennan Coyle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 47 played minutes Shanlaragh AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sheridan Cronin. Elpidio Macias struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Brennan Coyle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U.P. Gavellese.

The wind increased when Alessio Volta made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Shanlaragh AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Volta came free, but Brennan Coyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Shanlaragh AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gordan Cronin hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, U.P. Gavellese's Vilhelm Rosin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brennan Coyle. Brennan Coyle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. In the 69th minute, Blar McJames got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shanlaragh AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Alessio Volta scored to the left of an out of position Brennan Coyle, making the score, 1-8. In the 74th minute of the match, Vilhelm Rosin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Brennan Coyle saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Brennan Coyle stood somewhat misplaced when Alessio Volta came free in front of goal and shot 1-9 to the left of him in the 76 minute. Alessio Volta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U.P. Gavellese made a substitution. Carlos Fernando Bertassi replaced Flavio Iezzi. Sheridan Cronin hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Elpidio Macias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brennan Coyle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Barry McGlynn fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
