If Ás Ronaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mete Gol struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Brennan Coyle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madison. Ernesto Emmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blar McJames in the 9th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Mete Gol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Madison fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Blar McJames struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Ernesto Emmanuel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shanlaragh AFC. Brennan Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ás Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Mete Gol made a precise shot to the right of Brennan Coyle. Shanlaragh AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Mete Gol scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brennan Coyle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Gol in the 43rd minute of play forced Shanlaragh AFC's goalkeeper Brennan Coyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ás Ronaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Brennan Coyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Ernesto Emmanuel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blar McJames, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ás Ronaldo had several of the Shanlaragh AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Brennan Coyle as he didn't even see the shot coming. Brennan Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ás Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Pearse McOliver charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pearse McOliver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pearse McOliver kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Brennan Coyle made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Ás Ronaldo sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the game, Mete Gol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Brennan Coyle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brennan Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ás Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Brennan Coyle came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Madison's Ás Ronaldo. But to his dismay, Ás Ronaldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Madison's Ás Ronaldo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Brennan Coyle. That made the score 0-7 after 75 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Shanlaragh AFC's zone, Mete Gol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brennan Coyle came out of the goal and Mete Gol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ás Ronaldo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Brennan Coyle when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Brennan Coyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ás Ronaldo in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to Shanlaragh AFC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Sheridan Cronin hit a great ball. The long shot by Vítor Esparteiro in the 95th minute really tested Brennan Coyle's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Madison played a much better game than Shanlaragh AFC and deserved their victory. The Shanlaragh AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
