Ricard Keegan hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The long shot by Elpidio Macias in the 4th minute really tested Brennan Coyle's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shanlaragh AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elpidio Macias was slow to take the kick. During this time U.P. Gavellese's players had a chance to rest. After 5 played minutes U.P. Gavellese got a freekick which was hit by Felix Ariando. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vilhelm Rosin got free with Brennan Coyle in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, Alessio Volta notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Shanlaragh AFC's Brennan Coyle. Brennan Coyle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Shanlaragh AFC's Brennan Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Volta in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Shanlaragh AFC's Blar McJames sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Del Monte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Shanlaragh AFC's Brennan Coyle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Shanlaragh AFC from getting a goal against them. After 24 minutes Shanlaragh AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elpidio Macias who took care of the corner kick. U.P. Gavellese's Vilhelm Rosin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Brennan Coyle in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 27 minutes in the game Rubio Gaztelumendi did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Felix Ariando. 28 minutes into the game, U.P. Gavellese's Ricardo Kaká nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brennan Coyle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as U.P. Gavellese's Alessio Volta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Brennan Coyle. That made the score 3-0 after 31 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blar McJames in the 34th minute of play forced U.P. Gavellese's goalkeeper Armando Del Monte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by Rubio Gaztelumendi with Felix Ariando as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Brennan Coyle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Kaká's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. U.P. Gavellese's Alessio Volta got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Alessio Volta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brennan Coyle. Shanlaragh AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alessio Volta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 46th minute, Alessio Volta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U.P. Gavellese fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessio Volta to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Ricardo Kaká made a precise shot to the right of Brennan Coyle. Shanlaragh AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Rubio Gaztelumendi made in the 63rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Ariando immediately put the ball in play. Brennan Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Kaká, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Ricardo Kaká managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U.P. Gavellese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Kaká was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute Alessio Volta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brennan Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Shanlaragh AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gordan Cronin to maneuver through the defense. U.P. Gavellese made a substitution. Carlos Fernando Bertassi replaced Flavio Iezzi. The supporters of U.P. Gavellese booed when Shanlaragh AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gordan Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 minutes, Vilhelm Rosin made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Shanlaragh AFC's Brennan Coyle tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Felix Ariando in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Shanlaragh AFC's Pierce McBjarton. Brennan Coyle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alessio Volta went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. 91 minutes into the match, Elpidio Macias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brennan Coyle. Shanlaragh AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elpidio Macias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Shanlaragh AFC's Brennan Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Volta in the 96th minute of play.
