Internacional's Geronimo Rulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Ladio in the 7th minute of play. Orlando Chepe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benet Rano, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a little luck, Internacional's Geronimo Rulli got control of the ball when Leopoldo Ladio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orlando Chepe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Costa in the 12th minute of the match. Leopoldo Ladio hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Benet Rano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Chepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hydra's Kris Longden got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 24 played minutes Internacional got a freekick which was hit by Michael Laudrup. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Reyes in the 26th minute of play forced Internacional's goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 minutes, Evaristo Costa made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hydra's Orlando Chepe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Orlando Chepe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio de Andrade in the 31st minute of play. Hydra's Orlando Chepe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benet Rano in the 43rd minute of play. The Hydra players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Internacional were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Emmanuel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hydra's Orlando Chepe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Hydra from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laércio de Andrade got free with Orlando Chepe in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hydra made a substitution. Camilo Caradaro replaced Ruben Reyes. Internacional made a substitution. Rafael Abarca replaced Ege Deniz. In the 76th minute of the match Internacional got a corner. Hydra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abdelbassir Abubakar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Orlando Chepe was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Laércio de Andrade capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Laércio de Andrade really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 81st minute Benet Rano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Chepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Emmanuel in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geronimo Rulli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 86 minutes of play, Hydra's Laurin Roca made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geronimo Rulli was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Internacional walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
