Benjamin Nuxila hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Gilberto Hats kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. If Ladislao Abechuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Distribuidores's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Flavio Gaspard scored to the left of an out of position Pastor Erlantz, making the score, 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, Distribuidores's goalkeeper Pastor Erlantz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingos Fortun. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE's Apolo Aritza got a free kick in the 40th minute. Flavio Gaspard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Generoso Froylan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pastor Erlantz. That made the score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavio Gaspard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Flavio Gaspard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74thth minute of the game Generoso Froylan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Distribuidores's Pastor Erlantz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pastor Erlantz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Gaspard, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Pastor Erlantz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Gaspard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavio Gaspard in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pastor Erlantz saved Distribuidores from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Arce in the 86th minute of play forced Distribuidores's goalkeeper Pastor Erlantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Distribuidores's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Domingos Fortun was slow to take the kick. During this time RIVER PLATE's players had a chance to rest. Domingos Fortun made a great header on RIVER PLATE's corner, it was just that Distribuidores's Pastor Erlantz managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Fortun in the 89th minute of play forced Distribuidores's goalkeeper Pastor Erlantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavio Gaspard in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pastor Erlantz saved Distribuidores from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Abechuco in the 92nd minute of play forced RIVER PLATE's goalkeeper Christian Silviano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudio Otsando kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.

RIVER PLATE walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
