The audience thought a goal was coming when Michelangelo Merganiotis got free with Urbano Saturnin in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Cesare Punta came free, but Akis Sarafis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sao Brasola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Ajax the free kick. A collision led to Sao Brasola getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Nojus Barasa hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Sao Brasola's goal looked a bit too open when Bob Marley came free, but Urbano Saturnin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Sao Brasola's goal looked a bit too open when Stavros Tsebelis came free, but Urbano Saturnin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bob Marley succeeded in the game's 98th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. AFC Ajax were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
