The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bangla Desh Fobal Club's attentive Ciriaco Mateus managed to snatch the ball when Zdzislaw Kajdasz made a throw-in in the 4th minute of the game. Albin Anundsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Munio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute E. C. Flamengo Paraibano were awarded a corner. Albin Anundsson went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience was convinced that Erberk Tunçkol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilio Munio was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After taking down the ball on E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's corner Albin Anundsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emilio Munio quite easily take care of the ball. In the 23rd minute Albin Anundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Munio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Munio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erberk Tunçkol went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Mané Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Isauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Angelo Isauro struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Mané Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bangla Desh Fobal Club. After 44 played minutes Bangla Desh Fobal Club got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Erramun. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erberk Tunçkol in the 48th minute of play forced Bangla Desh Fobal Club's goalkeeper Emilio Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half E. C. Flamengo Paraibano were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelo Isauro to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Ricart in the 52nd minute of play forced E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goalkeeper Mané Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's zone, Vicente Ricart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Barreto came out of the goal and Vicente Ricart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes into the match, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Ricart came free, but Mané Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bangla Desh Fobal Club's Emilio Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Anundsson in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Angelo Isauro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bangla Desh Fobal Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 68th minute, Angelo Isauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mané Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Ricart in the 78th minute of the match. In the 78th match minute, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Barral to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's zone, Angelo Isauro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Barreto came out of the goal and Angelo Isauro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mané Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Ricart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Andrzej Solarek got a free kick in the 90th minute. Nejat Canol took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mané Barreto. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Bangla Desh Fobal Club's goalkeeper Emilio Munio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albin Anundsson. A collision led to E. C. Flamengo Paraibano getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Bernardinho Vaz hit a great ball.
