Santos FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Melchor Joachim 44 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Castulo to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Imperio Académico's Orlando Castulo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Ondino in the 59th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Jim Mitchell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Mitchell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Quirce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jim Mitchell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Ondino in the 70th minute of play. Imperio Académico had played much better football throughout.
