In the 7th minute SSV Ulm 1846 were awarded a corner. Hippo Schellenberger went to the cornerflag to take it. Hippo Schellenberger made a great header on SSV Ulm 1846's corner, it was just that Noia's Hermínio Barros managed to reach the ball for a save. Otfried Lintorf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Hermínio Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, SSV Ulm 1846's Otfried Lintorf ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hermínio Barros. Hermínio Barros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Klemens Hugo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SSV Ulm 1846's supporters rose to their feet, but Klemens Hugo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermínio Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Simão in the 17th minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Alexander Strzelczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Noia booed when SSV Ulm 1846 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hippo Schellenberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otfried Lintorf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Hermínio Barros made a huge save. Hermínio Barros came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by SSV Ulm 1846's Klemens Hugo. But to his dismay, Klemens Hugo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With a little luck, Noia's Hermínio Barros got control of the ball when Klemens Hugo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Klemens Hugo could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Hermínio Barros however easily saved by the left post. Klemens Hugo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Hermínio Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toader Kroos charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toader Kroos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes SSV Ulm 1846 got a freekick which was hit by Toader Kroos. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Klemens Hugo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, SSV Ulm 1846 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskar Zimmert to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Noia booed when SSV Ulm 1846 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskar Zimmert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermínio Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klemens Hugo's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute Klemens Hugo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Noia's goal looked a bit too open when Klemens Hugo came free, but Hermínio Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 minutes Noia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hippo Schellenberger who took care of the corner kick. Klemens Hugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Barros having to interfere. Hermínio Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klemens Hugo in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Otfried Lintorf left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SSV Ulm 1846 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Hermínio Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klemens Hugo's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Antônio Mello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Noia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SSV Ulm 1846 the free kick. Klemens Hugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Barros having to interfere. SSV Ulm 1846 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
