Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Dragoş Oloieru started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 3 minutes, Horaţiu Manafu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Progresul Pitesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horaţiu Manafu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. János Fazekas took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Ciociu. Victor Ciociu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 14 minutes, Mircea Măgură mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Progresul Pitesti and the Hungarian Olympic players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 2-0 when János Fazekas sped through Progresul Pitesti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victor Ciociu. János Fazekas took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Ciociu. Victor Ciociu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Dragoş Oloieru hit a great ball. Ábel Barta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Oloieru in the 25th minute of play. Hungarian Olympic's Máté Berta got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, János Fazekas lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Victor Ciociu. In the 31st minute Dragoş Oloieru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ábel Barta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hungarian Olympic getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Tamás Lovas hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Hungarian Olympic were awarded a corner. György Király went to the cornerflag to take it. Victor Ciociu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from János Fazekas in the 42nd minute of the match. The supporters of Progresul Pitesti booed when Hungarian Olympic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Csaba Joó didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when János Fazekas made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute János Fazekas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Ciociu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 minutes, János Fazekas made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ábel Barta made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Lucian Panțuru sent off a good shot on target. After 69 minutes of play, Progresul Pitesti's Horaţiu Manafu made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ábel Barta was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 76th minute, János Fazekas made a precise shot to the right of Victor Ciociu. Progresul Pitesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. In the 80thth minute of the game János Fazekas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 84 played minutes Hungarian Olympic got a freekick which was hit by Tamás Lovas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aristide Cordescu got free with Ábel Barta in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, János Fazekas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Ciociu was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-1. After 93 played minutes Hungarian Olympic got a freekick which was hit by Máté Berta. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hungarian Olympic had won after a very even match.
