In the 2nd minute Albano Cambranes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 3rd minute, Eloy Raymundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Eloy Raymundo came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Monte Hermoso Beach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Raymundo couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute, one of Academia FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Academia FC. 9 minutes into the game, Lázaro Osasun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Angel Etxeberri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Raymundo in the 11th minute of play forced Academia FC's goalkeeper Angel Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Frantzes kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Lázaro Osasun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes in the game, Eloy Raymundo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 18th minute, Angelo Ireno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angel Etxeberri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Cambranes in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eloy Raymundo got free with Angel Etxeberri in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute of the match Monte Hermoso Beach got a corner. Academia FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lázaro Osasun ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Academia FC's Angel Etxeberri got control of the ball when Eloy Raymundo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Academia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Argider to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Argider hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Albano Cambranes came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Monte Hermoso Beach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Cambranes couldn't finish the play. Angel Etxeberri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Osasun, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Monte Hermoso Beach's Eloy Raymundo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th play minute Eloy Raymundo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Angel Etxeberri. 2-0. Angel Etxeberri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eloy Raymundo in the 41st minute. Bernabe Incendio kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Fidel Lorien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Martxot in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Albano Cambranes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angel Etxeberri. Albano Cambranes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eloy Raymundo made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Eloy Raymundo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monte Hermoso Beach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eloy Raymundo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angel Etxeberri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eloy Raymundo went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Academia FC's zone, Eloy Raymundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Etxeberri came out of the goal and Eloy Raymundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Etxeberri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albano Cambranes in the 61st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquin Sarracino during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eloy Raymundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Angel Etxeberri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Academia FC's Angel Etxeberri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Raymundo in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Eloy Raymundo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angel Etxeberri. Academia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eloy Raymundo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Academia FC's Angel Etxeberri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Cambranes in the 82nd minute of play. Angel Etxeberri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Raymundo in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute of the match, Nereo Kemen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fidel Lorien was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 87 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's Eloy Raymundo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angel Etxeberri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia FC's goalkeeper Angel Etxeberri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eloy Raymundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Etxeberri having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Jorge Martxot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monte Hermoso Beach the free kick. In the 92nd match minute, Academia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Martxot to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Monte Hermoso Beach's Florentino Gil got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the referee ended the match the Monte Hermoso Beach players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
