Spectators: 7458 (Terracing: 5594, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 149) Chelsicha's Paulo Renato Penha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Nereo Santxol put in a rough tackle. In the 9th match minute, Chelsicha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Penha to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Urtun in the 11th minute of play forced Chelsicha's goalkeeper Alfredinho Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Rodrigues in the 13th minute of play forced CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Serafin Lalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Eutropio in the 15th minute of play forced Chelsicha's goalkeeper Alfredinho Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Paraense in the 16th minute of play forced CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Serafin Lalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorato Eutropio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Pereira having to interfere. CAI NEUQUEN's Serafin Lalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Penha in the 24th minute of play. Alfredinho Pereira came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by CAI NEUQUEN's Damian Barea. But to his dismay, Damian Barea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when Marcelo Mangueira put in a rough tackle. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chelsicha! The referee gave CAI NEUQUEN a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jimeno Iban, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chelsicha's Alfredinho Pereira. 0-3. 41 minutes into the match, Chelsicha's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Fortun came free, but Alfredinho Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredinho Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Fortun, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After the first half CAI NEUQUEN were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Serafin Lalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Paraense in the 52nd minute of play. Serafin Lalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Alfredinho Pereira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Barea in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the game, César de Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chelsicha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CAI NEUQUEN the free kick. César de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Honorato Eutropio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Alfredinho Pereira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Barea in the 69th minute of play forced Chelsicha's goalkeeper Alfredinho Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredinho Pereira was a little too slow when Damian Barea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-4. 79 minutes into the match, Damian Barea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredinho Pereira. Chelsicha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Barea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. If Rene Fortun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Koehler hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The CAI NEUQUEN supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CAI NEUQUEN would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
