An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Sarmiento in the 6th minute of play forced Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Agustin Pagomari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Agustin Pagomari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Sarmiento in the 10th minute of play. In the 10th minute Alberto Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Pagomari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Pagomari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Elazar in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Agustin Elija hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Domingo Eron got a free kick in the 15th minute. Braulio Ourente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustin Elija hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Siro Elazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Pagomari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Florencio Sarmiento got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 33 played minutes Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Fonso. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Agustin Pagomari, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Agustin Pagomari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Elazar in the 37th minute of play. Siro Elazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agustin Elija to strike the kick off in the second half. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Edgardo Kinsen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hernan Sarmento, made in the 51st minute of the game. In the 55th minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Braulio Ourente dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Agustin Pagomari made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Criston in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Elazar got free with Agustin Pagomari in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 66 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Alberto Sarmiento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agustin Pagomari narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goal looked a bit too open when Siro Elazar came free, but Agustin Pagomari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ booed when Sarmiento de Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavio Urbez struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Tobias Elizardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥. After 76 minutes, Benedicto Lobo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ and the Sarmiento de Resistencia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Lobo to maneuver through the defense. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Braulio Ourente couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥. With a little luck, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Agustin Pagomari got control of the ball when Alberto Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Siro Elazar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Agustin Pagomari. Siro Elazar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Agustin Elija took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tobias Elizardo. Tobias Elizardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Sarmiento de Resistencia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥.
