Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Radomir Motyl got the match started through his kick off. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Radomir Motyl put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leon Bartuelo. Lukasz Marek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mingo Torrente in the 14th minute of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Mingo Torrente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Lukasz Marek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lukasz Marek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mingo Torrente in the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's goalkeeper Lukasz Marek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anacleto Clementi. If Jorge Lizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lukasz Marek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mingo Torrente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Bartuelo came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Radomir Motyl. But to his dismay, Radomir Motyl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mingo Torrente in the 34th minute of play forced Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's goalkeeper Lukasz Marek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Lukasz Marek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Lyna Lidzbark Warminski from getting a goal against them. Mingo Torrente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Lukasz Marek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bartlomiej Percha fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's protests and gave Bartlomiej Percha a yellow card for diving instead. Bartlomiej Percha kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's goal looked a bit too open when Mingo Torrente came free, but Lukasz Marek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th play minute Mingo Torrente came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lukasz Marek. 1-2. When Severo Poz came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Newells Old Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Poz couldn't finish the play. Lukasz Marek made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Jorge Lizar sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mingo Torrente to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Mingo Torrente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukasz Marek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Leon Bartuelo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Newells Old Boys's Joaquin Jerrald seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joaquin Jerrald the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Newells Old Boys protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joaquin Jerrald had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Newells Old Boys fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Leon Bartuelo, was totally fooled by Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Jacek Galaska, who 59 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 68 played minutes Lyna Lidzbark Warminski got a freekick which was hit by Bartlomiej Percha. Lukasz Marek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Clementi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bartlomiej Percha came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Lyna Lidzbark Warminski fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartlomiej Percha couldn't finish the play. If Radomir Motyl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Newells Old Boys booed when Lyna Lidzbark Warminski was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobiasz Dziedelonis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Filip Seliga got a free kick in the 88th minute. Lukasz Marek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Poz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacek Galaska kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Severo Poz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newells Old Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Severo Poz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lukasz Marek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
