In the 2nd match minute, Dragões Barbudos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Dragões Barbudos FC's Vilgot Tolsson threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benê Favoretto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Oscar Peres received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vilgot Tolsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Oscar Peres slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute, Ramón Leão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vilgot Tolsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benê Favoretto in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vilgot Tolsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the match, Yngve Thidén had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Fantini. Dragões Barbudos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yngve Thidén was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 36th minute, Forsa IF's Mikael Siöberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mikael Siöberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Forsa IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mikael Siöberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Mikael Siöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Andy Västerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd match minute, Forsa IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Västerberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Dragões Barbudos FC's Eliseu da Costa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Eliseu da Costa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. Vicente Fantini was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. After the first half Forsa IF were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Peres to make the kick off. Andy Västerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Fantini having to interfere. The supporters of Forsa IF booed when Dragões Barbudos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Västerberg in the 82nd minute of the match. Andy Västerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Vicente Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Vilgot Tolsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Forsa IF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
