Spectators: 7474 (Terracing: 5607, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) Cléberson Mendonça started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Luizão Ferraz's late challenge caught a Clapham Rovers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luizão Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AFC - Curitiba getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Luizão Ferraz hit a great ball. João Francisco Toscano might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celsinho Vander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Francisco Toscano ran back to his position shaking his head. Edward Preston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jano Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan Furlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edward Preston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper Edward Preston, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Clapham Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Braga came free, but Edward Preston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Francisco Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Celsinho Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AFC - Curitiba's Celsinho Vander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save AFC - Curitiba from getting a goal against them. After having played for 34 minutes, Cléberson Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clapham Rovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléberson Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celsinho Vander came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Clapham Rovers's João Francisco Toscano. But to his dismay, João Francisco Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After having played for 45 minutes, Jano Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC - Curitiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jano Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, AFC - Curitiba's Allan Furlan got a free kick in the 47th minute.

57 minutes into the game, Clapham Rovers's Cléberson Mendonça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celsinho Vander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to Clapham Rovers getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Darius Ramsden hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Donny Stockton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Clapham Rovers's zone, Anderson Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Preston came out of the goal and Anderson Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celsinho Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléberson Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 83rd minute Cléberson Mendonça suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilmar Simão during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clapham Rovers's Keiran Jenkins was substituted for Cléberson Mendonça. The supporters of Clapham Rovers booed when AFC - Curitiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The excitement rose when Clapham Rovers's Donny Stockton after 86 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-0. Keiran Jenkins kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Luiz Gustavo Braga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edward Preston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Edward Preston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
