The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Irinel Itoafă came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Stiinta-Univ. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irinel Itoafă couldn't finish the play. Hudiksvalls United's Jonny Almqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irinel Itoafă in the 13th minute of play. The Stiinta-Univ. fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Stiinta-Univ.'s Matei Onaca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21st play minute Manuel Burdujan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonny Almqvist. 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Jonny Almqvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Manuel Burdujans short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Jonny Almqvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Hudiksvalls United's Rikard Stenquist got a free kick in the 25th minute. Hudiksvalls United's Rikard Stenquist pulled a muscle in his leg after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Mircea Creangă fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stiinta-Univ.'s protests and gave Mircea Creangă a yellow card for diving instead. Hudiksvalls United made a substitution. Knut Lundström replaced Rikard Stenquist. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Mircea Creangă hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Manuel Burdujan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonny Almqvist. The goal made the score 3-0. Matei Onaca scored 4-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonny Almqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Manuel Burdujan took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Jonny Almqvist to make any attempt to save it. Sebastian Christoffersson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silviu Lung read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Stiinta-Univ.'s Manuel Burdujan in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rudolf Alebäck thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jonny Almqvist, a very annoying self made goal in the 68th minute which led to 6-0. Jonny Almqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matei Onaca's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Hudiksvalls United's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Burdujan came free, but Jonny Almqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Matei Onaca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonny Almqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes, Matei Onaca made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hudiksvalls United's Jonny Almqvist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 87 minutes into the match, Hudiksvalls United's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Corduneanu came free, but Jonny Almqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonny Almqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Burdujan in the 89th minute of play. Jonny Almqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Burdujan, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Stiinta-Univ. fully deserved thier win.
