The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gamus Airoldi might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Recife. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gamus Airoldi ran back to his position shaking his head. Pablo-Enrique Melgosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Recife having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gamus Airoldi in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Recife prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patrick Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Pedroso in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, AC Metropol's goal looked a bit too open when Gamus Airoldi came free, but Patrick Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Recife made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gamus Airoldi in the 21st minute. 24 minutes in the game, Gamus Airoldi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Patrick Recife having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AC Metropol's zone, Pablo-Enrique Melgosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Recife came out of the goal and Pablo-Enrique Melgosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, AC Metropol's Patrick Recife got control of the ball when Gamus Airoldi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Gamus Airoldi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Patrick Recife. That made the score 4-0 in the 34 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gamus Airoldi to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Gamus Airoldi made a precise shot to the right of Patrick Recife. AC Metropol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. When Marcel Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Metropol's protests and gave Marcel Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AC Metropol! In the 60th minute there was a penalty for A.C Rimini. Pablo-Enrique Melgosa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Patrick Recife. 7-0. Patrick Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gamus Airoldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Otávio Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, A.C Rimini's Pablo-Enrique Melgosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Recife made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. 77 minutes into the game, Eliseu Nóbrega was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Metropol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C Rimini the free kick. Eliseu Nóbrega hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo-Enrique Melgosa in the 82nd minute of play forced AC Metropol's goalkeeper Patrick Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a left leg Patrick Recife saved AC Metropol from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, Ermano Boces had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Recife. AC Metropol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ermano Boces was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. AC Metropol's Patrick Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gamus Airoldi in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. A.C Rimini fully deserved thier win.
