Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gustave Pierrel started the match with the kick off. If Moïse Ganivet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thierry Henri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Percival Tavares came out and tried to block the shot, but Thierry Henri slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute, Charles Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevan Grange was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Kevan Grange came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de São Paulo's Miguel Marquez. But to his dismay, Miguel Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Les diables noirs's Kevan Grange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Marquez in the 26th minute of play. Kevan Grange took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Wilfried Lépinay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustave Pierrel came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Percival Tavares could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Santos in the 43rd minute of play forced Les diables noirs's goalkeeper Kevan Grange to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Kevan Grange showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Percival Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustave Pierrel in the 55th minute of play. Ewan Toupin kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Les diables noirs's Kevan Grange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Marquez in the 71st minute of play. When Frédson Marquez fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inter de São Paulo's protests and gave Frédson Marquez a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Thierry Henri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Les diables noirs's supporters rose to their feet, but Thierry Henri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percival Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Inter de São Paulo booed when Les diables noirs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camille Thiéblemont didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Charles Santos led 91 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Les diables noirs's Kevan Grange became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-3. Inter de São Paulo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
