Kustaa Vappula kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paavo Salmela in the 6th minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Telmo Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kustaa Vappula lost his temper 9 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Kustaa Vappula kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Serginho Alagoano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juha Jokiranta having to make a save. Juha Jokiranta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Telmo Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veli Siivonen in the 20th minute of play. After 22 minutes A.A. Francana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pirkka Rautee who took care of the corner kick. Pirkka Rautee made a great header on Manchester United FC's corner, it was just that A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo managed to reach the ball for a save. Telmo Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paavo Salmela in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Paavo Salmela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Telmo Trigo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 27 minutes into the game, Manchester United FC's Paavo Salmela nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Telmo Trigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With his leg Juha Jokiranta managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when A.A. Francana's Wilton Romero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 32 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Juha Jokiranta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armandinho Vergílio. When Paavo Salmela came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Manchester United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paavo Salmela couldn't finish the play. Paavo Salmela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Telmo Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paavo Salmela's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Paavo Salmela came free, but Telmo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Paavo Salmela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telmo Trigo. A.A. Francana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paavo Salmela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armandinho Vergílio to make the kick off. Telmo Trigo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paavo Salmela showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 54 minute of play. Pirkka Rautee kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Manchester United FC's Pirkka Rautee got a free kick in the 60th minute. Telmo Trigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paavo Salmela went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Francana's Telmo Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Francana from getting a goal against them. Paavo Salmela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Trigo having to interfere. If Paavo Salmela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manchester United FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
