In the 14th minute of the match Metolokos MZ Clube got a corner. Mainumby's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Fábio Braga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Metolokos MZ Clube's Luiz Fábio Braga to fire away a dangerous shot which Santiago Gau despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Murilo Catarinense charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murilo Catarinense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mainumby booed when Metolokos MZ Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th match minute, Mainumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Semeno to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute Luiz Fábio Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mainumby's Santiago Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrés Chavez in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Gerardo Oinatz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Romeu Netto, 1-0. Santiago Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yakup Kadri Akbatur in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, Mainumby's Armando Beltza made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeu Netto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Santiago Gau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrés Chavez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Candido Suero took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeu Netto. Romeu Netto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yakup Kadri Akbatur in the 47th minute of play forced Mainumby's goalkeeper Santiago Gau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
Mainumby made a substitution. Honorato Omero replaced Candido Suero. The wind increased when Yakup Kadri Akbatur made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Andrés Chavez made a precise shot to the right of Santiago Gau. Mainumby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The audience was convinced that Andrés Chavez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Gau was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Andrés Chavez scored 3-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santiago Gau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Metolokos MZ Clube booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Beltza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yakup Kadri Akbatur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Santiago Gau made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yakup Kadri Akbatur in the 70th minute of play forced Mainumby's goalkeeper Santiago Gau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Andrés Chavez came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Metolokos MZ Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrés Chavez couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 76 in the game by Yakup Kadri Akbatur from a close distance when the talented Santiago Gau managed to make a qualified save. Mainumby's players were relieved. Metolokos MZ Clube's Romeu Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Oinatz in the 81st minute of play. Santiago Gau stood somewhat misplaced when Yakup Kadri Akbatur came free in front of goal and shot 3-4 to the left of him in the 83 minute. Mainumby's Santiago Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrés Chavez in the 85th minute of play. After 86 played minutes Yakup Kadri Akbatur rounded Mainumby's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-5. 94 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goalkeeper Santiago Gau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrés Chavez. Honorato Omero hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The long shot by Zé Baptista in the 97th minute really tested Santiago Gau's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The Mainumby fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Metolokos MZ Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
