The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cambotinha EC's Ernesto Montenegro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Cambotinha EC from getting a goal against them. Viking Lo Russo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Ernesto Montenegro made a huge save. Ernesto Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Biaggio's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. When Luizinho de Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambotinha EC's protests and gave Luizinho de Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cambotinha EC's Luizinho de Queiroz got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Viking Lo Russo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Montenegro. Cambotinha EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Viking Lo Russo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The El Golden Volvió! players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cambotinha EC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolas Alvarenga to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Cambotinha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Biaggio came free, but Ernesto Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cambotinha EC's Davi Prata got a free kick in the 57th minute. Arlindo Abreu made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by El Golden Volvió!'s Cristobal Haimar. Victoriano Ladio charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victoriano Ladio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes El Golden Volvió! got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Ladio. Ernesto Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Biaggio in the 68th minute of the match. Nicolas Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Franco Costanzo made a huge save. When Guilherme Porto fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambotinha EC's protests and gave Guilherme Porto a yellow card for diving instead. Guilherme Porto hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A hard shot 81 in the game by Nicolas Alvarenga from a close distance when the talented Franco Costanzo managed to make a qualified save. El Golden Volvió!'s players were relieved. Viking Lo Russo scored 2-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Montenegro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Luizinho de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Biaggio in the 92nd minute of play.
