Vintilă Vârlan's late challenge caught a São José City - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vintilă Vârlan helped the player get up and apologised. Vintilă Vârlan hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Luiz Paulo Leão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Moise Negru. Romanian Gods™'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Moise Negru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, São José City - FSCMZ's Hélder Severo got control of the ball when Doru Zbârciog tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, São José City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Lepuș came free, but Hélder Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moise Negru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Iulian Chiliman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hélder Severo. Iulian Chiliman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 30th minute of the match, Vintilă Vârlan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hélder Severo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 32nd minute, Romanian Gods™'s Emil Văidianu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hélder Severo. Hélder Severo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Hélder Severo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doru Zbârciog in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iulian Chiliman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Romanian Gods™'s Vintilă Vârlan suffered a concussion after 51 minutes and had to leave the field. After 51 minutes, Edgar Cavalcante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São José City - FSCMZ and the Romanian Gods™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes São José City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Cavalcante. Marin Lepuș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 56 played minutes São José City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Cavalcante. Marin Lepuș blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hélder Severo having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Luncașu in the 70th minute of play forced São José City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Hélder Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Romanian Gods™ booed when São José City - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marin Lepuș hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Chiliman in the 85th minute of play forced São José City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Hélder Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marin Lepuș hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Roger Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
