Zé Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Mateos, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the game, Eléctricos F.C.'s Roman Suarbol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Antunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 36th minute of the match, Gabi Gol got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joffre Viñambres was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joffre Viñambres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Faiko in the 40th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Goianésia E.C's Mark Faiko slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joffre Viñambres. That made the score 1-3 after 40 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attila Kertész in the 46th minute of play forced Eléctricos F.C.'s goalkeeper Joffre Viñambres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Eléctricos F.C. were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Goianésia E.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eléctricos F.C. the free kick. Mark Faiko hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes Eléctricos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Verdes. Joffre Viñambres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Faiko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Faiko in the 94th minute of play forced Eléctricos F.C.'s goalkeeper Joffre Viñambres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Camilo Mateos lined in a short shot 2-5 behind a frustrated Zé Antunes. When the final whistle went the supporters of Eléctricos F.C. were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Goianésia E.C side.
