After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Nilson Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miau Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilson Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisc Firoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Valdir Lopez fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Miau Stars's Edson Couto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Francisc Firoiu. That made the score 2-2 after 73 minutes of play. Sidney Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, The Owls's Iulian Pordea got a free kick in the 79th minute. Gildo Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Owls's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Nilson Soares scored to the left of an out of position Francisc Firoiu, making the score, 4-3. Sidney Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iulian Pordea's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. There was no doubt that The Owls were the better team. The Owls's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
