In the 7th minute, Baldomiro Lapurdi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gugu Gaúcho made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Joel Luix sent off a good shot on target. 10 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barra Funda F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stat Veritas FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Barra Funda F.C's Hortêncio Freire got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 14 played minutes Barra Funda F.C got a freekick which was hit by Jefferson Soeiro. In the 15th match minute, Barra Funda F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizão Paraense to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Amadeo Frantzes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gugu Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gugu Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Luix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gugu Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Maura in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Stat Veritas FC booed when Barra Funda F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gugu Gaúcho came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Stat Veritas FC's Ricardo Ihazintu. But to his dismay, Ricardo Ihazintu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 30th match minute, Barra Funda F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. Damian Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Luix in the 46th minute of play forced Barra Funda F.C's goalkeeper Gugu Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Barra Funda F.C got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Freire. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Gugu Gaúcho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Luix went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the game, Amílton Gomes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barra Funda F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stat Veritas FC the free kick. Amílton Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Afonso Soares hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Damian Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Joel Luix left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stat Veritas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 89 minutes into the match, Joel Luix notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Barra Funda F.C's Gugu Gaúcho. Gugu Gaúcho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Stat Veritas FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
