Erkki Veider showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Rios, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Henric in the 24th minute of play forced Cin-Cin Marger la birra's goalkeeper Erkki Veider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes, Unidad de Matanza's Elvio Urtungo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erkki Veider came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unidad de Matanza reached it. After 46th play minutes Reynaldo Rios shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Erkki Veider and just under the crossbar into goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ott Neumann made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Guaberto Henric cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Erkki Veider was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Reynaldo Rios's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erkki Veider was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The supporters of Unidad de Matanza booed when Cin-Cin Marger la birra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Despite this Erkki Veider quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Helger Lepist hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Elvio Urtungo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erkki Veider. Cin-Cin Marger la birra's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Erkki Veider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervasio Galo in the 74th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Unidad de Matanza players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
