The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Misericordia EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valério Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Bob Maravilha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeca Cerezo was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Zeca Cerezo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bob Maravilha's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. MarquinhosEC's Zeca Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Maravilha in the 15th minute of play. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Valério Peres sped through MarquinhosEC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zeca Cerezo. 19 minutes into the game, Bob Maravilha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Zeca Cerezo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the match, Valério Peres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeca Cerezo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bob Maravilha in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca Cerezo saved MarquinhosEC from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Zico Matamoros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Misericordia EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. In the 41st minute Bob Maravilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Bob Maravilha sped through MarquinhosEC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zeca Cerezo. In the 90thth minute of the game Bob Maravilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MarquinhosEC's Zeca Cerezo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zeca Cerezo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bob Maravilha's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Valério Peres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeca Cerezo having to make a save. Bob Chute could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Zeca Cerezo made a huge save. Misericordia EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
