Sergio Romeri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Benat, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, 17 de enero team's Remigio Urko got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Prospero Jakes came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Bahía é Carnaval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Jakes couldn't finish the play. The Bahía é Carnaval fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Prospero Matxin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Tello went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 95 played minutes 17 de enero team got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Txema. Prospero Matxin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Hernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Bahía é Carnaval players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
